What to share with the Partner team before you start building, and why. Applies to public apps, private apps, and one-off client integrations.
Before you start building, tell us what you're planning. It takes a few minutes, and it means we can confirm your app type, scope your API access, and flag any security requirements, including the security questionnaire, before you've written a line of code. That's a lot easier than reworking something after the fact.
This applies whether you're building a public App Store app, a private app for one client, or a one-off data migration or integration.
What to tell us:
- What you're building, in a sentence or two
- Public (App Store) or private, and for which client(s) if known
- What Commerce7 data it'll read or write
- Any third-party services or AI tools it'll send Commerce7 data to
- How you plan to test it before you submit for approval. We always like to see at least one Beta customer using it before it is submitted.
